A Little Faith

Mama K raised her four boys on her own after Pop had enough and pulled the rip cord leaving her with the four of us ages 9 thru 3 all at the age of tender age of 28.  How did she raise her four boys.  Well, I'm not sure exactly but she had tremendous faith that everything would be OK.

One thing we know for sure time passes quickly. We four boys are grown and have families of our own now.  Mama K has 13 grandchildren that are as old as seventeen.  Where have the days gone!

When we are going through our own little storms in life, it is important to stay calm, stay at peace, persevere, time is passing quickly and things will be OK.  Have faith that you will flourish that those you love and care for will thrive.

Just a little bit of faith can move mountains.

Stepping Outside Ourselves

We are all so immersed in our own lives, in our planning and rightfully so but when we take time to look outside ourselves what do we see.

We often tell ourselves that things will be better when I have this or get that, but is that really the case. I'm often amazed at friends that have tremendous wealth, beautiful houses, and nice cars yet have tremendous challenges with their marriages, health, or families.

And there are so many others in the world that are challenged for the basic necessities, when we step outside ourselves for just a moment we have so many things to be grateful for to be thankful for and we easily lose sight of these things.

Yes, it's ok to want more and to enjoy the finer things in life, but we must start at the beginning.  And that is to express gratitude for this gift of life and all of the wonderful things we enjoy today.

The Universe is a Friendly Place

The Universe is a friendly place.  Yes, I said it.  In today's world of mega media headlines it's easy to think of the world as a dangerous, unfriendly place just waiting to knock us down. But does that empower us or instill us with confidence to do the things we want to do or become the person of our dreams.

The Universe has given us life and the beauty of today.  We are surrounded by beautiful sunrises, blue sky, trees, mountains, rivers, and oceans, and we get to enjoy the show for free every day.  Yes, we have challenges but we need to keep those in perspective. When we realize that the universe will give us everything we ask of it and will conspire with us to help live our dreams, we can shrug off the little setbacks and disappointments and continue on our path.

Try thinking of the world as a friendly place with the resources and people you need to accomplish anything you set out to do. We all have the divine spark that can burn through any of life's intermittent fog.

And remember when the fog lifts there is sunshine.
