 The Falcon

When the ocean comes to you as a lover,

marry, at once, quickly,
for God’s sake!
Don’t postpone it!
Existence has no better gift.
No amount of searching
will find this.
A perfect falcon, for no reason,
has landed on your shoulder,
and become yours.”

Love we need to harness this most powerful force in the universe even if we don't feel it at times we can always give it away  And we know we are always loved by our heavenly Father.

Dance - Rumi

From the eternal Persian Rumi ~

Dance, when you're broken open. Dance, if you've torn the bandage off. Dance in the middle of the fighting. Dance in your blood. Dance when you're perfectly free."

Whatever we a going through at the moment, we must remember that each day is a gift and the sun will shine again. Life is truly a dance and when the joyful music plays we need to get stepping.

This is the day the Lord has made, Let us rejoice and be glad.

 God Bless.

Alive

Is there anything better in life when you truly feel alive.  You leave behind the mundane and experience life like it should be fresh and exciting.  A think the one word that captures this exuberant feeling is Love. When you have a Love in your life you have this electricity coursing through your body and even the basic simplest tasks are energized with joy and passion.

So we must seek it out this Love of our lives for it is there for all of us and it must be explored and found for without it life is bland. Keep seeking friends because we all deserve a love like no other and compromise is out of the question.  Seek and we shall find. Ask and it shall be given.

With a Love like that we can light up the whole world.  Starting with ours.

The Pieta - Michelangelo

The Pieta is a sculpture by Michelangelo that is considered one of the greatest works of art ever created. When Michelangelo was 23 years old, he was commissioned by a cardinal to produce “the most beautiful work of marble in Rome, one that no living artist could better.” It was to capture the moment the Virgin Mary held Christ in her arms after he was taken down from the cross.

Accepting the challenge, the relatively unknown young man got to work on a block of Carrara marble. Less than 2 years later, the work was installed at the cardinal's grave, on the very same day he died. When revealed, it was met with sheer disbelief. Most doubted it was the young man’s work, so he carved into the sash across Mary's chest: “Michelangelo Buonarroti of Florence made this.”

La Pietà embodies the power of beauty as a transcendent force. It takes the worst possible human tragedy — the loss of a grieving parent — and transforms it into something that helps you to instead see the ecstatic joy of human life. Michelangelo saw in the dead body of Christ such compassionate suffering that it drove him to create the most beautiful thing ever hewn from a block of marble. Vasari called it a “miracle that a formless block of stone could ever have been reduced to a perfection that nature is scarcely able to create in the flesh.” La Pietà now lives at St. Peter’s Basilica, where it has been for over 500 years.

Flying - JM Barrie Peter Pan

J.M. Barrie was a Scottish novelist and playwright and the author of Peter Pan.  All of accomplishments and achievements start with Belief.  Our thoughts and ideas shape our destiny, and the Good News is we control and determine our thoughts and beliefs.

Like Peter Pan flitting the skies we can also dare to live the life we dreamed of and soar the heavens for we know that with God all things all possible.God Bless.

George Washington and the Continental Army - Fort Washington, Pennsylvania

 History

George Washington as both Commander of the Continental forces and as America's First President in the original colonial Capitol Philadelphia spent years in the what is now Montgomery County, PA. The battle of Germantown, The battle of Whitemarsh, and of course wintering the Army for six months in frigid Valley Forge. This entire area is 20 miles and Germantown and Whitemarsh are very close to Philadelphia only a few miles from city center.  And while the Colonials fought many valiant battles they most likely lost more men at Valley Forge with the brutal frigid weather,  lack of supplies, and harsh living conditions than all the battles combined. Valley Forge is now a National Park and hallowed ground.

Following its defeat at the Battle of Germantown, the Continental Army camped at several different sites before choosing a more permanent, strategic location in Whitemarsh Township.

More than 12,000 soldiers arrived to set up camp on November 11, 1777. The high ground where George Washington made his camp was easily defendable against British attacks. A handful of skirmished occurred in early December, but the American's superior position dissuaded the British from a large-scale attack.

After a month in Whitemarsh, Washington abandoned the camp and moved toward Valley Forge, a similarly defendable position where the troops could build more suitable quarters and better defend the precious iron forges along the Schuylkill River.

Very little remains from the encampment in what is now Fort Washington State Park. Fort Hill was at the western end of the positions and the site of the namesake fort, though all traces are lost. Militia Hill was the position of the Pennsylvania militia during the encampment. The Clifton House, a former tavern located within the park boundary, now houses a museum and library.

Hope Lodge, a historic home adjacent to the park, is open for tours on select days throughout the year.

May Freedom and Liberty continue to ring loudly throughout the world.  God Bless America!

St. Matthew Ask

 W

St. Matthew the former tax collector that become a beloved Apostle of Jesus and who documented many of Jesus' sermons while traveling with The Good Lord. Matthew in this piece of scripture reminds us that with God all things are possible but we do need to ask and continue knocking on the door until it opens. We have our plans and God has even better plans for us.  We must be patient at times and know that God knows best, and when you see your dreams unfold before you stay humble, give thanks, and share your success gladly with others. The Lord loves a cheerful heart and giver.

 Matthew 7:7-11
7 “Ask, and it will be given you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and it will be opened for you. 8 For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened. 9 Or who is there among you, who, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, who will give him a serpent? 11 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!

Heaven on Earth

Another wonderful quote by Teacher, Mentor, and friend to humanity Wayne Dyer.  Dr. Dyer

reminds us that we are responsible for creating our own world. We create our Heaven on Earth

with our commitment to God and his teachings. Every day we choose out thoughts and actions

which gives us the power to have direct control over our lives and outcomes. Write your dreams

down, believe in yourself and know that God is always by your side even during setbacks, Jesus

reminds that with the Faith of a tiny mustard seed we can move mountains. Keep God close, pray

and give Thanks and Praise for all the things you desire begin to show up in your life. And as Dr.

Dyer reminds us, Infinite Patience brings immediate results.  Trust in God and believe in yourself

and you will live a life beyond your dreams.

Own The Day

In the year. He is rich who owns the day, and no one owns the day who allows it to be invaded with fret and anxiety. Finish every day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities, no doubt crept in. Forget them as soon as you can, tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely, with too high a spirit to be cumbered with your old nonsense. This new day is too dear, with its hopes and invitations, to waste a moment on the yesterdays.    -   Ralph Waldo Emerson

The Power of Language

Your Words Matter

In Iran, some book markets leave their books out on the streets overnight, trusting the local saying: “The reader does not steal, and the thief does not read.”

Your language and Your words can change your life.  Speak highly of yourself and others. Speak and think highly of your dreams and goals and as they begin to come true you will soon understand we are what we think. And our thoughts define us and our reality so we must remember to Choose our Language wisely.

We are just magnets so attract all the wonderful things you desire in your life. Take time to just write down your goals, don't overthink it our desires change frequently and that's fine.  Don't try to figure out how you will accomplish everything, the Good Lord will assist you quietly in your work.  Ask and receive. Be of good cheer, expectant and hopeful. And then be sure to give back when you do receive remain humble and grateful because that just increases our abundance and allows us to Serve and Share in more profound ways. Jesus reminds us, that we are lanterns glowing with the Holy Spirit and we need to uncover our Light for the whole world to see the glory of God.

Let it Shine!

God Bless. God Speed.

Special K - Poem

Katia Katia

From Heaven

Above

An Angel sent

To capture our

Love

Katia Katia

Strong and Gentle

Full of Desire

Ignited by Passion

That burns like a

Fire

Katia Katia

She soars

through the Skies

An Artistic Romantic

With Sapphire Eyes

 Katia Katia

The world is her canvas

Where will she go

Adventure is calling

Only She knows

Katia Katia

From the gym

to the forest

she floats

like her dreams

surfing the ocean

on golden sunbeams

Katia Katia

From idyllic Krakow

A lovely Pole

Her passions

are endless

She's a

Beautiful Soul

Katia Katia

She will love you

With all the joy

In her heart

And cause your Axes

To tilt

But all is resolved

In the end

When she sings with her

Heavenly Lilt

The Soul

Since love grows within you, so beauty grows. For love is the beauty of the soul."

 St. Augustine

So eloquent and refined.  Our Souls are part of us and with a little nurturing will provide us with all the love and beauty in our lives.  For the more we give the more we receive.

Give it away.

The Princess Peach

The Princess Peach

Arrived today

Looking for fun

And ready to play

With eyes of blue

And hair of gold

The peach was only

Five months old

She is an Angel

You can see

her wings

Listen closely

As she gently sings

The Princess Peach

Is a beautiful toy

We Praise the Lord

For our Mallory Joy

Her blue eyes twinkle

As she grows

so fast

We just want to hold her

And make it last

Ready to crawl

Soon to walk

A lovely sound

And soon she'll talk

She lights up

the room

wherever she goes

And her little giggle

Only heaven knows

With Love,

Coach K

Depression and Anxiety - The Antidote

An easy antidote to what ails us.  Depression and anxiety are prevalent especially among the youth. And the answers lie within each of us. My experience has led me to a few simple ideas that hopefully will be helpful.

  •  Connect to your Spiritual source. With God all things are possible.  And we are told by Jesus, "to ask and it shall be given unto you" or ask and receive. Start by just asking.
  • Reduce your exposure to the negative news flow.  Negative sells. We choose what to focus on and what we focus on expands.  Focus on the good the good, the possibilities, and all you will achieve in life. No matter where you are today
  • Get outdoors and soak in nature every day. We spend 99% of our time indoors. The house, office, car, gym, parties, restaurants, movies.
  • Soak in the sunshine. Natural sunlight provides the good Vitamin D that we need and stays in our bodies much longer than synthetic vitamins. Morning sun, evening sun, soft sun soak it all in it does a body good.
  • Fresh air. The fresh air will soothe and calm you. When something is bothering you just step outside and take a deep breath and see how your challenge washes away. The crisp air is so delicious you can just taste it.
  • Walk barefoot in the grass also known as grounding.  Plugging into the grass or Grounding connects our electrical bodies, the heartbeat is an electrical pulse, to the electromagnetic waves of the earth helping reduce inflammation. Give it try.
  • Family, friends, mentors.  Surround yourself with people that support you that care and nurture you.  If they are not available, stay true to yourself and be patient you will attract these people into you life with a  good attitude.
  • Take care of your body with good nutrition and exercise. When we get outdoors and exercise we can feel our moods lift and just some simple nutrition changes like less soda and a daily walk can be life changing.

The Power of Nature

The best thing you can do for your health is to get OUTDOORS! The emphasis is on purpose and after all my years in health and fitness I have come to Know that getting fresh air, sunshine, and exposure to nature every day is so beneficial for your health that it can eliminate the need for blood pressure, anxiety, and antidepressants meds.

I was fortunate to live in the age before ubiquitous screens.  We spend 99% of our time indoors we've become house cats.  We go from our homes, to the office, to the gym, to dinner, to movies, to parties, and all using our car. Think about it we are constantly indoors and without our realizing the impact to your health has been drastic.  And the corollary is that we are continuously tethered to our screens phones, Pc's, Tv's, video games again keeping us indoors.

The great Elon Musk just mentioned that the significant achievement of Full Self Driving or FSD is that now you will be able to text while the car drives itself.  Great safety feature but a sad comment on society. The safety of driving is nice but we must have Texting!

Get outdoors take deep intentional breaths, eat the fresh air, soak up the sunshine, immerse yourself in nature, and walk barefoot in the grass or Ground and chance you get. These simple steps will transform your health.

To Your Health!

With Love,

Coach K
