Learn To Be Still

 Stillness

There is a wonderful line in Psalm 46 that states

Be still and know that I am God.

With the multitude of distractions that we encounter on a daily basis and the constant chatter and interruptions it's easy for us to lose focus and sight of all the blessings that surround us. We often forget the the beauty of each day and each moment.  The sunrise, fresh air, and the very breath of life we are given in each moment.

We can be easily distracted by the constant stream of news negativity and the disaster du jour.  We need to take to to find our place for quiet, solitude, and silence. If if you can close your eyes for a moment take a deep breath and just say Thank You for this day that the Lord has made.  You can instantly reconnect with the Divine energy that flows through you and provides unlimited power.

The legendary American band the Eagles have a wonderful song named Learn To Be Still.  The refrain goes like this -

"Keep on running

You never will

Keep on searching

You never will

Learn to be still"

When we learn to be still we can harness the Holy Spirit that resides in each of us to accomplish all that we desire.

Silence

What we are need is a little more quiet, a little more peace, a little more silence.  Turn it down, turn it off, disconnect, unplug, and take a deep breath.

There is a reason for the old saying Silence is Golden.

Make time for Silence in your life.  Silence has magical powers. It's let your body, mind, and spirit relax, recalibrate, and just Be.  The quiet can heal you.  Let your thoughts pass and just immerse yourself in simply just being alive in the given moment.

Take in those deep cleansing life giving breaths.  Let it fill your lungs and feel the calmness and peace wash over you.

Make time to include Silence in your daily living.

God Bless.

With Love,

Coach K

The Silent Snow Poem

The snow falls
without a sound
I walk the road
in silence

flakes gently
brushing strokes of winter white

the world is quiet
if just for
a moment

time ceases

listen
this is what
bliss feels like

snow purifies

snow transforms

snow is

solace
