There is a beautiful mountain road named Burnt Shanty that I came across recently and was intrigued by the name and its origin. The name of the road came from a logging village that was removing lumber from the Pocono mountains when a fire swept through the village burning the shanties where the lumberjacks and other folks lived.
Now a 100 years later a beautiful town has risen from the ashes where hundreds of beautiful homes surround a stunning lake.
The Burnt Shanty has been transformed and may it shine for another 100 years.
With Love,
Coach K
