Solve the Problem

One of the best ways to flourish in your personal and business life is to be a Problem Solver.  Everyone wants someone on their team, in their company, or part of their organization who can solve problems. Many of us create problems or are defeated by problems.

There is a better way.   A better word for problem is Challenge.  A challenge is something we need to accept, acknowledge, and meet.  Life can be a challenge but in a positive way.  The challenge of living a good life, of maximizing your potential, of contributing to make the world a better place.

Any challenge that you're facing does not mean you have to meet it by yourself. You have resources that are available to overcome whatever you want to accomplish. There are experts in every facet of life and numerous people that have overcome the same thing that you are facing this very minute.

If they can do it, so can you. And the best thing is most people are happy to help you on your journey.  The irrepressible Zig Ziglar said it best when he adopted the mission statement, that the best way to get what you want is to help others get what they want.  Zig always giving.

Start with the easy things and build your problem solving ability.  Forget the excuses and limitations.  You'll be surprised what you can accomplish and achieve when you just open your mind and heart to the possibilities and how powerful and resourceful your really are.

And remember with God all things are possible.

With Love,

Raising Lovebirds

 Connecting

Being raised in the Faith from a young age we learned about Jesus and God and all the wonderful stories of the Bible. And while we learned the lessons of our youth, we tried to put those teachings of love, kindness, treating your neighbor as yourself, generosity, charity, and forgiveness into action.

A noble undertaking for anyone child or adult.  And as we grow and get absorbed in everyday life going to school, starting our careers and families, we get immersed in the material world, as Lao Tzu said, "the world of 10,000 things. We're busy acquiring wealth and all of our wonderful toys, and raising our beautiful children and families.

When we get the Lovebirds get a little more independent and begin to leave the nest we start to reflect on our family life together and all the wonderful times.  We gain a little wisdom and perspective in understanding what really is important.  We have not bigger responsibility, duty, or honor that raising children.  They are God's greatest gift!

The most satisfying achievement in life is raising loving, kind, productive, self sufficient children that can go out into the world and make a better life for themselves and the community.

And for all the parents raising and loving your children is the most important "career" we will ever have.  Your children come first love them, teach them, be an example for them, and simply BE there for them.  All the money in the world will not substitute for your time and attention. And at the end of the day the material stuff doesn't really matter it's just ultimately dust.  But the love of your family and children are forever are timeless.

Seek not the treasures of this world but the Kingdom of Heaven.  And loving your family and  children is Heaven.

As we get older and see the world with more wisdom.  We realize that all the striving in our younger years while important is not all important.  An important distinction.  Many of us were raised with loving supportive parents in a nurturing environment, and care share that with others and when we start our own families. But be mindful of others that have not have that luxury of familial love and reach to them and show them that they too are loved.

As the children are raised and are going out into the world to find their love, passion, and joy, we begin to reflect on what's truly important on what it means to live a life "Well Lived".  You love them, you nurture them, you are there for them.  And so we are taught that it is with God and his children and when we acknowledge and know that we can live in peace and go out and put into practice all those wonderful lessons we learned as a child.

For a person that loves and is loved truly has everything.

With Love,

What You Think About Expands

Good Thoughts

We all heard of positive thinking,  having a good attitude, and trying to think good thoughts, but do we really know how powerful thought control can be.

What we think about EXPANDS.   We have so many external forces working on us in our daily lives.  The hustle and bustle of raising children and work can wear on our thought process and attitudes.  When we turn on the news, or try and relax with entertainment and music we are often bombarded with negativity which affects or thought process and attitudes.   The latest war, terror attack, or crisis is broadcast daily and impacts us both passively and actively.

We have a choice.  It's critical that we limit our external influences,  we need to turn off and tune out the constant negative bombardment.  You listen to the news and you think everyday the world is coming to an end.  But life goes on.  We need to take control, empower ourselves, and choose our inputs.  We do this with the food we eat and drink, if I eat junk food and drink soda my body knows it and feels it.   The same with the food we take into our minds.   Limit the junk we allow into our thoughts and emotions.   Choose good empowering influences.

Think of the wonderful things you would like to do, accomplish, achieve.  Seek out examples and mentors that have accomplished what you would like to do.  Envision and see yourself achieving your desires.  Begin by writing it down and watch your accomplishments began to take shape and get done.

Pay attention to your daily thinking  and attitude.  If you know experiencing the life you want, begin to make changes, and start with your thoughts, attitude, and Expectations.

Begin to expect good things.  Continue to focus on those things that you want in your life no matter what is happening in your current circumstances.  Try and experiment for a week or month where you focus on positive outcomes, you turn off negative news and talk,  you sit quietly and imagine all the wonderful things you will accomplish.  See if you notice a difference in your life, it's a free and easy way to make an immediate dramatic impact on the life you want and deserve.

What you focus on expands, so focus on the things you want in life.

With Love,

The Whole World's Ablaze Your Passion

Set The World on Fire

"If you are what you should be, you will set the whole world on fire.  Let the truth be your delight, proclaim it, but with a certain congeniality".  What I like about this quote from St. Catherine of Siena is the gentle strength of the proclamation.  She reminds of us all of our hidden talents, our undiscovered power, our vast potential that when tapped has the power to change the world.

By simply acknowledging that each of us is special, and that when we utilize and share our unique talents we tap into that potential that ignites a passion in us. We have that inner and outer glow that people can see in our eyes.  She tells us that we can express and share our talents with a gentleness and kindness that opens a pathway to understanding.   Let the beauty of your work, your talent, and skill be the expression of achievement and excellence.

We can express ourselves with grace, dignity, and congeniality like Jesus, Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Abraham Lincoln, Mother Theresa, and countless others.  They all set the world on fire without firing a weapon or dropping a bomb.  You know what special talent you have that is aching come out and be shared for all of our benefit.  Bring it forth.

St. Catherine reminds us to, Do the thing, and it will give you power!

Boldness Has Genius In It - Goethe

The philosopher Goethe said, "Whatever you can do , or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it."

It's so hard for many of us to take that leap of faith.  To believe in ourselves, to know that we have something more to give, more to offer, but when we dare to dream we give ourselves the opportunity for greatness, we allow our voice to be heard our song to be sung.

There is a part of us that knows what we should do, what actions we should take.  Let's be bold and unleash the power.  Capture the magic.

Boldness has Genius In It!

Improving Your Performance

The first step towards improving your performance is Awareness.  What is it you are looking to improve? Why?  These questions are important and helpful to understand your motivation.  Your goal may be simply to achieve your ideal weight for health reasons or to be able to play with your children or grandchildren.  That's fine.

The Simple Steps to Improve Your Performance -

1. Write it down. Whatever you want to achieve take the step of writing it down.  I am millionaire,  I weigh 170 pounds,  I am healthy, I am an excellent student, I am a marathoner.  The task of writing it down takes it from your mind, or the mental and places the goal in the physical.  By putting the goal on paper, you have made it more real.  Get in the habit of continually writing it down whatever the current status.

2. See it.  Use your imagination to see yourself already accomplishing your goal. Visualize yourself getting on the scale and seeing your ideal weight,  shooting your best score on the golf course, or running across the finish line.

3. Say it.  Affirm your goals.  Say it out load, say it silently, but be sure to state it.  Share it with friends or keep it to yourself.

4. Begin it.  The most important step to achieving any goal or improving our performance is to begin.  Start and commit to achieving your goal.  The journey of a 1000 miles begins with one step. When you begin, don't put pressure on yourself with the need to see fast results.  Be patient, enjoy the process, stay in the moment.  The journey is more important than the destination.

5. Ask for help.  We have a divine essence that enables us to overcome any challenge or obstacle.  When we humble ourselves and ask for help miraculous thing can happen. Find a friend. Find someone that will support you, that will pick you up when you fall, that will help motivate you.  A friend or even a stranger wants to see you succeed and will help you immensely.  The human spirit is alive and well, and there is a divine bond that connects us all.  There are resources available to all of us that we can't even fathom.

If you want to accomplish something you must first expect it of yourself

If you want to accomplish something you must first expect it of yourself.  So many times in our lives, people have told us what we should expect, what we should do, what we will be, or what we will accomplish.

Many of us have been criticized, told we're not cool, and told that we were unworthy from strangers, the media, friends, and even loved ones. We must ignore the noise and close our ears.

When we think of ourselves as great, beautiful, and extraordinary, we live from that part of ourselves. We honor the beauty that is inside us all.  Instead of belittling your ideas or the ideas of others, think of the great things you have already accomplished and will accomplish in the future starting today.

There are many people out there that believe in you, that want to see you succeed, and will help you on your journey.  Seek them out, welcome them, and embrace them.

Yes you can do it. You can live the life you've imagined but you must first expect if from yourself.

And remember with God all things are possible.

With Love,
