The Sweet Magnolia

The sweet Magnolia

with leaves of white

Blossoms in scents

of pure delight

Spring gently yawns from

Winter slumber

Pelting rain

Claps of thunder

Verdant green

Robin skies

Sunlight lingers

Winter dies

Huzzah Huzzah

Sing natures voices

Spring arrives

The wind rejoices

Nourishment the Power to Heal

We are what we EAT.

Food has the power to heal us to cure us.  Food is medicine without the side affects!  Let that concept sink in for a moment, let it get down into your Soul.  Why would we rather take five different pills for various ailments with there debilitating side affects when we could just eat more nutritious health foods.

Yes, so simple, so important, so true.

Yet, why do we find it a challenge to eat food that nourishes us.

Well maybe our palettes have been conditioned over the years with fat, sugar, and salt which of course is delicious but perhaps there is a healthier alternative.

When we think of our daily eating habits it is important to focus on ADDING delicious nutritious food to your meals.

Throw out the concept of taking away or removing foods.

As you add more wonderful healthy vibrant foods the old products will fall by the wayside.

Start with one healthy food you enjoy and build from there.  For me it is spinach.  I knew I need to eat more green vegetables and remembering how Popeye would eat spinach to make him strong and a little research of course I decided that to eat more spinach.  At first, I simply put some in a blender and tried of glass of plain spinach juice. I was surprised at how mild and fresh the taste was like the smell of freshly cut grass!  So for the past several years, I have tried to consume several pounds of spinach per week just by simple juicing it in a blender.  And from there you can add to your daily eating other fruits, vegetables, herbs, spices, and nutrients that you enjoy and that are wonderful for your health and vibrancy.

Spinach is my go to food.  What's yours?

Add delicious green vegetables and fruits, products that are sourced directly from the ground and earth without processing.

When we begin eating in a more mindful manner our taste buds change and we focus of food as nourishment, energy, a power medicine that can cure you and heal you.

When we nourish our bodies and  with wonderful food, music, art, and words we connect with our higher divine selves and  provide the energy to live our best lives.

To Our Health!

Easter Sunday Reborn!

"The Lord is risen let us rejoice and be glad!"

The Easter season signifies our coming out of winter and into Spring.  We go from the pain of Good Friday to the joy of  the resurrection on Easter Sunday. Spring is a time of renewal or rebirth.  Let us be reborn in the Light.

Let our hearts be filled with joy and wonderment with this gift called life.  We have much to do and experience,  Let your life be your work of art, your daily life be your joy.

Wherever you are let that be your masterpiece, this is achievable with your excellent attitude.  The love and joy you bring to your daily living will catapult to the place you want to be.

Remember simply to ask and receive with gratitude, and then help the next person along.

Spring and it's beauty is here.  We are renewed, it is time to play and enjoy all the wonderful things life has to offer.

Let us rejoice and be glad!

With Love,

Tommy - A Love Story

Tommy

I met a wonderful woman while walking our dog Shay in the park the other day.  We were coming up the road, and a woman was standing next to her dog that was just sitting there watching the birds.

Getting closer, I thought she was a dog trainer working on the sit command.   Our beautiful little Cavalier, Shay, could use a little training. We said hello and I asked about why her dog was just sitting there, she answered that since she was 14 years old she could do what she wanted.  I smiled in agreement.

She went on to tell me that the lab/pit mix was named after her husband Tom.  I said you must really like your husband and she responded Tommy was named in honor of his passing 14 years ago (insert foot in mouth here).

Tommy was a rescue dog that helped this nice woman through her grief and became a companion to replace the love of her life.  She went on to tell me how Tommy was now not in the best health, but it was clear from their long friendship....

that both of them had been rescued.
