Hope

 Hope and Anticipation

While we live, enjoy, and celebrate the present moment, it's important to look to the horizon with an eye on our next exciting adventure. What mountains do we still want to climb, places we want to visit, experiences to be had, interesting people to meet.

And just like we know that just like the birds are provided for on a daily basis we should know that so to are we. We need to fill up our Faith and lower our fear.  I was on a recent brother trip where we zipped around Germany and eastern Europe in 10 days and we experienced all the wonderful sites and sounds and was able to have our 28 year old son join.  A truly magical experience.  All without phones, tv, social media just disconnected and unplugged. We need to be mindful of what we consume in our bodies, minds, and souls.  The constant negativity will suppress our immune systems, heighten fear and anxiety, and actually age us.  Just like nature there is sunshine and storms.  Mostly sun so why do we fell like it's always storming.  Because that what we choose to absorb or ingest.

Focus on the beauty of the day.  The gift of life that we all have been given in this moment.  The ability to take a breath and simply exist.  It is a blessing.  Plan your hopes and dreams, look to the future with anticipation if you allow it life gets better with age like a fine wine.  You have your entire wonderful life ahead of you go live it and enjoy it.

Keep God close. Seek out the good things, the beauty in life, immerse yourself in nature it has the power to transform us.

And remember with God all things are possible!

Fear and Faith

 Faith

Ah, the fear they spread is so thick you can taste it.  Fear, bad news, negativity it sells right.  We don't want to hear that it's another sunny day.  We tune it when the big storm is coming so we can prepare.  But it is in all the sunny days where we make our preparations.

What is the opposite of fear?  Is it hope, love, or Faith.

We all experience setbacks and some more challenging than others but we need to know that setbacks are the exception.  We need to be hopeful, expectant, and joyful on what the wonder of a new day and moment because as we know, yet often forget, that each one is indeed a gift.

When we expose ourselves to the constant bombardment and stream of negativity, we weaken our immune systems, our mental and emotional states, perhaps most of all our Attitudes. Why do we do this to ourselves.

You can look throughout history and see all the wars, natural disasters, and human trauma.  Yet here we are still thriving and prospering.  The world has become a safer and more prosperous place.  More people have been lifted out of poverty and we will continue to solve and meet the challenges of tomorrow.

We can flip the switch as easy as turning the lights on and illuminating the entire room.  So it is with our minds, hearts, souls, and lives.  Just flip the switch and let the Light inside you shine forth.

What you focus on expands.  Let that idea sink in and marinate. Your choice. My choice. Our choice. Focus on all the good you can do with this day even as it is simple as feeling your heart beat, or taking a deep breath, going for a walk, feeling the wind on your face, or watching the rain, or feeling the warmth of the sun.

YOU CREATE YOUR OWN REALITY.  And everything you do starts with a thought.  So, begin with better thoughts.

For all the younger generations, our children are in their 20's now the future will be just fine.  Everything will work out for just like it worked out for your parents and grandparents.  The universe and world is an abundant place.  In just one generation we went from telephones to cell phones, 10 TV channels to 700 channels, analog to digital, Internet and Computers and the other advances are countless.

Faith, Hope, Love, and Positivity are learned skills just like anything else. Seek out great role models and teachers.  Jesus is one such example but there are many.  Ask for help, pray for help, tap into the Holy Spirit that resides in all of us.  Look for books on attitude, positivity, and hopefulness. There is a wonderful saying, that when the student is ready the teacher will appear.

Pull up the shades, open the windows, let the sun shine in your future is brighter than you know.

With Love,

Coach K

Padre Pio

Padre Pio

The Padre Pio shrine located in Barto, Pa just outside of Boyertown is a 40 minute drive from us and a good hour from Philadelphia.  We stopped on our way to dropping our son off to college.  A local Norristown family's daughter was miraculously cured after visiting Padre Pio in Italy, and as a Thank You the family built and has maintained a beautiful shrine on 106 acres that replicates Padre Pio's San Giovanni, Italy residence.  All our welcome and there is no charge for admission.

Padre Pio devoted his life to helping and healing others.  He suffered physically most of his life, but despite his poor health, continued to bless others with good health.  Padre Pio's famous quotes are to, "Pray, Hope, and don't Worry. Worry is useless. God is merciful and will hear you prayer." Also, "Prayer is oxygen for the soul".

We have so much noise and distractions in our daily lives.  I often think we are just like the birds on the wire twitting back and forth. When we take time to pray, meditate, and just sit in peace and quiet, we let the silence wash over us and fill us with grace and solace.  The peace and tranquility of prayer or meditation enables to connect to the divine spirit within each us opening the channels to our limitless potential.

In the words of the great Pio,  let us

Pray, Hope, and don't worry.

You Are Not Your Circumstances

Remember that life can change in an instant.  If things are not the way you prefer and you would like to improve your surroundings, start with believing and imagining a better future.  We need to start seeing a better life, a better future for ourselves.

Life at times can be challenging, can beat us down.  But we have the power to keep the faith, to renew our spirit, and look for better times all while enjoy and celebrating the present moment.

We know that life changes every day, every moment is in flux.  We need to realize that if our present circumstances are not to our liking and we would like improvements that they are indeed possible.  We must start with suspending our reality, knowing that we have to power to transform our lives and that it can begin now and happen very quickly.

Begin now to think of the things you want, the life you desire. Think on it, believe it, and expect it no matter what your current situation is.

We all have challenges and many of us think they are insurmountable, but when we step outside ourselves and realize we have this day this moment, we really have everything we need.  Life is so precious and we get every day reminders in the headline news.

So despite our challenges, look for a better tomorrow, and give thanks for today.

There is a better tomorrow starting today.
