Woflgang Amadeus Mozart

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart

Wolfgang Theophilus Mozart.  Mozart preferred the Latin Amadeus over Theophilus.  Amadeus means friend of God or love of God. And you only have to hear the majestic music of Mozart to know that it is divinely inspired.

I remember truly hearing Mozart for the first time in my early 30's after a spending my earlier years listening to classic rock, pop, and easy listening, and just being in a state of wonder.  This was the best thing I've ever heard.  Where has this music been all of my life.

We all hear classical music without realizing it in commercials or movies, but we never really give it a try or let the music into our lives.  Give it a try for just 30 minutes and see if you're not transformed, in some way.

Mozart is a transcendent figure, a prodigy who at the age of 5 composed and performed in Salzburg and Vienna, Austria. Mozart was born and lived during another milestone event in the course of human history, the American Revolution.  Mozart's music was filling the heaven while American independence was being forged throughout history.

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was born in Salzburg, Austria on January 27, 1756 to Leopold and Anna Maria.  He was the youngest of seven children, whereas the previous five had not survived infancy.

He had an older sister Marie Anna or "Nannerl" who was five years older.  When Nannerl began taking keyboard lessons from their father Leopold at the age of 8, a younger Mozart at the age of 3 watched in rapt attention absorbing every note and lesson.  Their father Leopold was an accomplished violinist and teacher who wrote a successful violin textbook, and was a noteworthy member of the musical community.

Mozart, Nannerl, and their father would tour throughout Europe sharing their musical talents with the royal classes of modern society. Mozart was 6 years old when he was performing on the biggest stages of the world.

Mozart would die at the early age of 35 but given the health of family, he is lucky to have lived at all, and he lives on to this very day with the beautiful music he shares with all of us.

Mozart a wonderful experience.  Let the music wash over you and cure whatever ails you.

Let There Be Peace On Earth

Peace

A beautiful song by Jill Jackson-Miller and Sy Miller in 1955 that describes a universal song of how peace starting in each of us individually, can transcend the individual and bring about world peace.  Jill wrote the song after going through a failed marriage, and found the life- saving joy in God's  peace and unconditional love.  Amen.

Let there be peace on earth

And let it begin with me

Let there be peace on earth

The peace that was meant to be

With God as our Father

Brothers all are we

Let me walk with my brother

In perfect harmony

Let peace begin with me

Let this be the moment now

With every step I take

Let this be my solemn vow

To take each moment

And Live each moment

In peace eternally

Let there be peace on earth

And let it begin with me

The Power of Words

Power Words

Our words shape our reality.  Choose wisely. Speak and think in a joyful hopeful manner.  Expect the best. Ask for all the wonderful things in life you desire.  Ask and you shall receive.  Keep you attitude positive and expectant and life's good things will ultimately find you.  Patience in all things.

Our words and language have tremendous power on shaping outcomes, our experiences, and our lives. When we encounter unpleasant situations, stay calm and try to be at peace.  Let your frustrations out, and then get back to your positive mindset. This too shall pass. Rely on the peace of God.

How we speak and communicate to ourselves and others is essential to enjoying our daily living and life experience.

Asking for all the good life has to offer is a humble, expectant manner is the key to achieving all that you want in life. Affirm in the manner that has brought your goal or desire into reality.

Simply.

I want good health or I am excellent health
I want love and peace in my life. I am love and peace
I exhibit kindness and it is returned to me
I am joyful and live joyfully
I am wealthy and abundant
I am gentle and kind
I am loving and supportive
I honor the dignity of life

Use the simple exercise of Word play to reach your heart's desire.

Babies Having Babies

Babies

Is there anything better in the world than a newborn baby.  I was holding darling Olivia yesterday and there is nothing more human, more natural, than to see life in its purest most divine essence.

One of the challenges we see in society today is teen pregnancy or more aptly "unwanted" pregnancies.

Babies having babies. A teen is often unprepared for parenthood but with the right support and loving environment will be a wonderful parent.  Love is all you need!

But for many teens and adults, the pregnancy is inconvenient.  We know there are many people willing to love and care for a newborn.  Just as we push for the adoption of animals, so we should just as ardently push for the preservation of life.

As Lao Tzu said Respect for ALL living things. And God with the 10 commandments, "Thou Shall Not Kill".

Fear of a pregnancy is a powerful emotion.  How am I to care for the child when I am challenged caring for myself, how can I afford this baby and so on.  Very powerful practical but fearful, negative emotions. Fear is the opposite of Love or Peace. Stay in the Light.

I believe if you ask Mothers that were considering not have the baby, the response would be overwhelmingly YES to life.  And for the mothers that chose to give up the baby, the choice has weighed heavy on their hearts.

For those of you facing an "unwanted" pregnancy or know someone that is struggling with carrying a child. Pray for them, support them, help them through a challenging time.

Raising children is hard work but as we all know it is the most rewarding thing you will do in your lifetime.

As a parent, you place your child's needs above your own. You love, nurture, and honor them. The self sacrifices that you make are really just lessons in love, compassion, generosity, and faith. Part of life dedicated  to putting someone else's needs before your own.

Like Jesus and the world's other great Lovers, loving someone else more than oneself is the greatest love of all.

The Lord's Prayer - Our Father

Our Father

How many times have we said the prayer the Our Father.  Growing up at St. Matthew's and attending Archbishop Kennedy high school, we said that prayer thousands of time from just rote memory.

But I was reflecting on the prayer last night and what a work of poetry it is

Our Father Who Art in Heaven  or Our Father who lives in Heaven

Hallowed be thy Name or A name of reverence

Thy Kingdom Come - Peace on Earth

Thy Will Be Done -  Love One Another

On Earth As it is in Heaven -

Translation.

Our Father or God who lives in Heaven.  Revered is your name.  Your heavenly kingdom comes to earth or the peace of Heaven resides on Earth.  God's will be done which is to Love One Another as I have Loved You. On Earth as it is in Heaven, that is Heaven and Earth are one in the same. The love and peace of heaven can be experienced in our daily earthly lives, there is no separation or distinction between heaven and earth.

When we live at the higher vibrations of Love and Peace, we experience glimpses of Heaven or peace in our daily lives. We've all experienced this when during a wonderful moment we had that blissful, peaceful feeling come over us.  What we want to do is incorporate more of those feelings and expressions into our lives.  Turn off the lower vibrations of negativity, violence, conflict, hate, and fear.  We may experience these as part of our human nature but we must remember

That our essence is divine and that we are made in the image of God.  When we cultivate and expand that essence we experience enlightenment or God realization.  We live with a peace and tranquility that is divinely sublime.

How do we get there.  Simply practicing love and kindness in all things. Start with yourself, expanding outward to others and all living creatures.  Lao Tzu said Respect for All Living Things.

And Jesus said, "love one another as I have Loved you."  Time to forgive, mend, and love one another in peace eternally.

With Love, Kindness, and Peace,

Coach K

One Love - Bob Marley

One Love

Bob Marley and Curtis Mayfield were onto something.  One Love. What's that?

One Love across the UNIverse.  One love across the one world.

We may have different countries, oceans, languages, customs, and religions but we are united by one Love.  Love is just another word for God in all its many forms.

Dr. Wayne Dyer has the lovely quote,  " It doesn't matter what you call God be it Yahweh, Allah, Krishna, Buddha, or the other many varations.  The universal force is the same and transcends religions and peoples.

The important thing is coming to KNOW this wonderful force, and let it wash over you and your life.  You will be transformed.

One Love

With One Love,

Coach K

The Power of Acknowledgment

Acknowledgement

For all the aspiring parents, teachers, managers, and leaders.  The most powerful force in the universe is Love or Acknowledgement.

When creating a family, team, or company, the most important person is the individual child, spouse, or team member.  Employees come before customers.  In order to serve the customer, the employee must be served for they are one in the same.

So, first start by loving, support, caring, and acknowledging your employees. With that success and high performance can't help but find you!

Same with a struggling child or adult.  Unconditional love and support are powerful forces when unleashed can create miraculous outcomes.  Love your struggling son or daughter, help that teammate that may need some encouragement.  Continue to pick them up when they fall.

Just a simple smile, job well done, or pat on the back and a genuine knowing that you care is all that is needed.

With Love,

Enlightenment - The Divine You

Enlightenment

Enlightenment.  What a wonderful word.  To enlighten means to educate, to make or become aware, or to understand. To Know.

What is Enlightenment? Beyond the Age of Reason, more importantly what is personal enlightenment?

Enlightenment is recognizing and acknowledging that YOU are a divine being.  That we are All diving beings.  Our divine nature is part of us for we were made in the image and likeness of God.  What is unique to all of us is the residing of our divine nature or soul within the sacred temple our human bodies. Similar to the Trinity of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, when the mind, body, and soul are in harmony we are at peace.

Enlightenment is peace.  Peace with oneself, others, and the world.  We often experience it in glimpses, but with self awareness and prayer or asking, we can make peace a more extended or permanent part of life and daily living.  When we realize and recognize our own divine nature and live from that higher self we are transformed into our divine selves.

All fear and doubt is removed.  Our stresses melt away because we know that we are made in the image of God and we are loved. We are part of God.

We are all at times enlightened or in touch with our divinity in those moment of love, peace, and harmony. When we detach from the illusory material world, we are able to immerse ourselves and realize our divine nature.

With Love,

Coach K

Gently Down The Stream

Row Row Row

There's something to the song

Row Row Row
Your Boat
Gently Down
The Stream
Merrily Merrily Merrily
Life is
But a Dream

Translation.  Don't get too agitated by life's daily struggles, what bothered you last week or last year is a distant memory.  Stay in the moment and let the daily slings and arrows pass.

They have no power over you!

Stay above the childish and petty demands of the ego and seek the higher ground of the spirit grounded in love, kindness, charity, and forgiveness.

These higher vibrations are consistent with our Divine nature.

Easy does it will make the journey that more enjoyable.

With Love,

Coach K

The Power of Asking

Just Ask

The power of a simple question.  We learn early on as children to ask for what we want for what we need. But somehow as the years pass, we often lose sight of this simple concept.

We easily ask or expect things in our daily lives groceries, gas for the car, decent roads, functioning electrical grid, but when it comes to the bigger ideas in our lives such as love, peace, harmony, success, meaningful work, money, or wealth we often think we're not deserving or those things are meant for others.

No matter where you stand in life today whether your happy, sad, sick, or healthy begin today to ask for the things you want in life.  Prayer is just another form of asking.

Life is full of many wonderful things and things we don't need or want.  When we ask for more of the good things in life that expansion begins to crowd out the less desirable.

So ask, ask, and ask some more until the result you want is realized.

With Love,

Coach K

Spiritual Principles for Joyful Living

A Joyful Life

How do we receive more joy in our lives, more peace, more love?

Simply we ask.

The bible and many other spiritual texts contain simple and effective advice to help us on our journey
  • Jesus says, "Ask and it shall be given unto you".  Many of us do ask or pray and when we allow our prayers to be answered in God's time everything is taken care of. Practice patience in all things.
  • Again,  "Ask and ye shall receive".  The concept of asking is ever present in our lives. We must simply ask. Write it down, mediate, pray, and reflect upon it.  And when it does happen simply say Thank You.  And if it doesn't or is delayed, perhaps it was not right for you at this moment in your life.  Again patience in all things.
  • I can do all things through Christ which strengthen me. We all need help every now and then, and it is here for us. All we have to do is ask.
  • Faith. With the faith of a mustard seed, which is very tiny, we can move mountains. Our everyday mountains are the challenges we may face in our daily living.  A little faith can overcome any obstacle and bring more peace into our lives.
  • Jesus said, "You can do all that I can do and more if you but believe". Belief in your ability and yours potential is very powerful. Start with a belief in yourself, an no matter what happens treat yourself with respect and dignity.  Remember, we were made in the image of God. We are all infused with that divine light and energy. And if you have trouble loving and believing in yourself, find a mentor or friend that can help you. They are out there and love you just as you are. We are surrounded by angels that can assist us in everything we do.

With Love,

Coach K

Ghandi's Principles

Ghandi's Life Principles

Ghandi lived many of these principles throughout his life and dealt with the challenge and difficulty of trying to live them on a daily basis.  As we reflect on the principles, don't get so caught up on trying to live them, let the idea ruminate and see where it leads you.  Just being aware of them is a good first step.

  • Wealth Without Work.  It's good to earn you bread. There's something deeply satisfying in earning your own way dealing with the struggles and setbacks that makes attaining the goal all the more enjoyable. Hard work and dignity go hand-in-hand.  A little struggle does a body good.
  • Pleasure Without Conscience.  Pleasure with a total focus on oneself and a disregard for others is a path to trouble. We can experience pleasure, fun, and joy in a responsible harmonious manner.
  • Knowledge Without Character.  Using our knowledge to make life and the world better for ourselves, the community and the world is the idea.  To use our knowledge for noble means not just personal enrichment.
  • Commerce Without Morality.  Win lose is not the ideal proposition.  Some transactions are indeed one-sided, but those that have a Win/Win foundation and benefit each participant are those that help the individual, the community, and society flourish. Doing business involves many unintended consequences just like life, we just want to avoid the transactions that we know are bad from the start.
  • Science Without Humanity.  How wonderful and powerful science is with the tremendous benefits to mankind and the world. We always need to be mindful of the delicate balance of scientific advancement and impacts to society.
  • Religion Without Sacrifice. Religion has gotten quite a bad rap lately and while religion is a reflection of the actions of it's leaders and members, it is also a philosophy that allows us to explore a world beyond ourselves.  Life involves sacrifices. Friendship, parenting, working, playing sports involves sacrifices.  When we make sacrifices for the greater good, for accomplishing a higher goal than just our own we act from our highest selves.
  • Politics Without Principle.  Now this is a tough one.  Principles in politics! Tradeoffs and deals are part of the political landscape but a focus on the common good without knowing your not going to make everyone happy is always a challenge.  As Ghandi learned while trying to unite India.

All the Best,

Coach K
