Fresh Air and Sunshine

 Fresh Air

Exercise is essential to health and well being, and in this time of gyms being closed and more people working out at home it is important than we remember two of the most powerful health remedies available to all of us.

Fresh Air and Sunshine.  The two most powerful health tonics we have and they are abundant and free!

Did you ever notice that when your are feeling anxious or upset that if you just simply walk outside and get a little fresh air you instantly feel better.  That whatever is overwhelming you at a given moment is reduced by going for a walk or taking some deep breaths out in the fresh air.

During these times of closures, lockdowns, and distancing, we must remember to exercise our personal freedom by getting outside and filling our lungs with oxygen.  Another easy thing to do is to Open the Windows! In every season open the windows and let air out the musty stale air and let the house breathe.

Sunshine is the other powerful health force we all need giving us essential Vitamin D, especially in the gray winter months.  Take off the sunglass for a little while and let the sunshine fill our eyes.  Safely of course.

Take a prescription from Dr. Quack.  A little fresh air and sunshine are the easiest and best things we can do for our health and well being.

To your Health!

Tiger Woods - US Open Pebble Beach

Pebble Beach

Tiger Woods had a 15 shot lead going into the last hole in the 2002 US Open.  Tiger was on the 18th and final hole that hugs the coastline adjacent to the Monterrey peninsula.

Tiger had a commanding lead and after a birdie on an earlier hole, gave the golf ball to a young fan.  Unbenownst, to Tiger he only had one ball left in the bag!

Stevie Williams, Tiger's caddie,  kept the secret to himself and held his breath as Tiger teed off on the dangerous 18th hole.  If Tiger hit the ball out of bounds onto the beach, he would not be able to take a penalty and hit another shot.  Since he was without another golf ball, he would have been automatically disqualified!

Tiger went on to hit a good drive and win the Championship by the largest margin in history.  The win propelled him to historic Tiger Slam, where he held all four major championships and the same time. This feat has never been done in professional golf.

Tiger's entire career could have changed with one swing on the 18th hole at Pebble Beach, but instead of disaster he went onto become one of iconic golfers in history.
