Nature

Nature

The wonder and power of nature has to be experienced.  On a cold sunny day, I ventured out for a walk in the 15 degree temperature.  The park was quiet with a roaming herd of deer and some scrambling squirrels.  A hawk perched on the branch keenly anticipating the activity in the field below. 

Looking to cure a little cabin fever, I soon realized that the brisk walk had a calming serene feeling.  The curative power of the sun, brisk air, and tall trees quiets the mind, heightens the senses, and washes over you with a sense of peace and quiet power. 

I wonder if people could walk at least once a week in nature how many of their ailments would disappear.  The need for sleeping pills and anxiety meds would melt away in the fresh air of the great outdoors. 

Next time your feeling a little stressed, just go outside and take a few deep breaths, or even better go take a walk and let the therapeutic power nature cure your ills.
