Ketogenic Diet
Studies have shown that sugar is directly related to cancer. We know that sugar consumption has skyrocketed over the past 30 years. The question is there a direct correlation between increased sugar in our diets and cancer rates.
The ketogenic diet suggests eliminating sugar particularly high fructose corn syrup and simple carbohydrates. When we remove sugars and carbs that are converted to sugar, we are able to starve the cancer cells that feed on sugar.
Healthy cells that use glucose have the ability to switch to ketone bodies for fuel, this in essence starves and ultimately kills the cancer cells.
We know sugar has many detrimental health effects including obesity and diabetes. Look to eliminate sugar, high fructose syrup, and those simple carbohydrates. Soda, fruit juices, and other sweetened drinks are really just pure sugar.
To improve your health looks for easy ways to cut back on sugar and those simple carbs, they may be key to saving our lives.
